How can I get my cheeks to be less chubby?

Try some of these exercisesLay on your back and put your feet flat on the ground. Push up off the floor, making your pelvis closer to the ceiling. ( you can let a kid sit on you for added resistance)Squats ( hold a baby for added resistance)Lunges (hold a baby for added resistance)Try some "Plea -A" ( the thing ballerinas do), stand with your heels back to back, then lower yourself like you are doing a squat. Rubber bands are great- you might want to get a good pilates video or check out some exercise suggestions on the net to get a good idea of how to use them efficiently. I've got a good book called the Home Workout Bible that has a bunch of easy exercises to do at home with very little equipment. I think everything is pretty much limited to an exercise ball, a few weights and a rubber band.
Don't underestimate the power of cardio in toning. Take 20-30 minutes a day to go for a good power walk or jog and you'll start to notice a difference pretty quick. Good luck!

Of course, they had a crew of professionals helping them and they got to devote a lot of their day doing it, something most people don't have time for. you can get those abs for sure... in the movie there was some airbrushing I will admit that, but you can come damn close... First and most important is eating right, if you eat high calorie and high fat foods, you will never have nice abs. Also dont over eat, eat smaller meals through out the day, try not to eat after 9 pm..... Second you will need to do ab workouts, but not just sit-ups, you need to mix it up, do leg lifts, work the top bottom and middle different ways.... Lots and lots of crunches... Third is cardio, you will need to do cardio, like running or biking.... this is to keep fat from setteling on the stomach.... You will never see a fat runner! If you do all of these and stick with it, in 8 weeks you will have abs like SPARTANS....

I'm in okay shape, but spring breaks coming up so i'd like to be in the best possible shape possible. Abs, pecs, arms, everything. Is there anything I can do to make a noticeable change in my body in two weeks?

This is kinda tough to answer... It depends on how active you are now. If you are a very sedentery and inactive person who spends all their time eating and sleeping, and maybe doing other non-streneous things (no offense), then you can actually get some pretty good results quickly. However, if you are relatively active and already excercise with weights and things like that on a regular basis, then it's pretty impossible that you'll get much of a change in only 20 daysNow, if the first is true (or at least partially true, like you're really not that inactive, but not that athletic either), then you can definitely get quick, somewhat noticeable results, but you have to really excercise hard and intesely, and you have to do this throughout the day (not the WHOLE day or anything, but at least devote some time to it early on in the day, then maybe another hour or two later, and then a few minutes here and there). The results will not be instantaneous though, and 20 days is pretty much not enough time for anyone to go from an okay body to a ripped, chiseled look. In fact, you probably won't get to that even if you work out for years. But there it's definitely enough time for improvement.Oh, and the fast improvement i'm talking about that you can get is mostly in strength and speed and stuff, not much in actual appearance. Sorry man, but for that you will need a lot of time of continuous working out. You can start things happening in 20 days, but not so much that anyone would notice.
Basically you are going to do some intense habit changing over the next two weeks. Try to tap into something active that you will enjoy doing (football, volleyball, dancing, running, swimming etc...) wake up thrity minutes early each day and do crunches, push ups, leg lifts, squats, whatever you can think of. Don't try to change your diet too much because you will beat yourself up instead cut the portions that you would normally eat in half and eat slowly to make you feel full.
Drink plenty of water. And if you have weights use them. Then excersize as much as you can all throughout the day.
Ummm....i don't think you'd get amazing results in 20 days. You have to work on it for a while longer. If you're going to lift weights, make sure you do it every other day your muscles aren't overused.

I am a woman and I work out with weights. It has made me extremely curvaceous. I used to be very thin. I was told to work out with weights because I was told I was gaunt. So I started to and I loved it, but I have become uncontrollably curvaceuous. I am not comfortable having this type of body. Here is what I basically do: I lift weight 1.5 hours 2x per week. muscle is the answer. do only minimal amounts of cardio (running etc) but build muscle. do situps and crunches, pullups, pushups, lift weights, and eat healthy protein to make it easier: eggs (watch ur cholesterol), lean meats; chicken (not fried), turkey (not fried, duh), pork tenderloin. it helps u build muscle. just work on the weights. good luck, i wish i had to gain weight! lol

One note: after you work out, make sure you drink a protein drink or eat a protein bar within 15 minutes of your last rep. It seems people have answered the question, but to just touch up on certain details, taking pletiful water does help with hyrdolysis of fat (that might be depositing over your abs). Obviously if you do wanna gain weight, you have to be on a high calorie diet as well. Also, running is probably one of the best exercises that utilizes the whole body and helps in an even gain of weight throughout. Everything else remains the same to pursue a healthy lifestyle. A high calorie diet doesn't mean unhealthy fast food, it means eating the right food in high quantity to compensate for the exercise and gaining weight at the same time. hope it helps

Don't think that everything will be better once you lose the weight, and your boyfriend will love you more once you lose the weight. The reason people overeat is because they are trying to comfort themselves because they are depressed, angry, or whatever. The more they eat, the more weight they gain. It is a never ending cycle, until they stop and figure out why they are using food for comfort. Try to figure out what is bothering you, and why you overeat. Once you do that, find someone to talk with about it. Learn strategies to deal with your emotions.
Also look at the kinds of foods you are putting into your mouth. Are they mostly processed and refined foods? If so, you need to get those out of your diet. Try to eat foods that are as close to natural as possible. Eat healthy, well-balanced meals, that contain all the essential nutrients. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, low-fat dairy products, lean proteins, %26 whole grains. Also drink plenty of water. Eliminate any foods or beverages that are not nutrient dense. Eat right and stay active, you are really to young to start a serious weight program your still growing. Run, jog and lift a few times a week.
Go to the gym and work out.
Train 2 times a week on a full body routine
Try doing 1 set of breathing squats for 20 reps and try adding a few pound to the bar each week (breathing squats ,that is take 3 big breaths between each rep,but don't hold your breath when squatting)
Then concentrate on bench press and rows and shoulder presses and maybe a set of bicep curls,don't worry about you abs, and your triceps will get a good workout out from all the pressing movements.

Well just find some where in you house with enough floor space and begin stretching! It will help loosen muscles and make you more flexable. Start slow then move up! Walking is also nice. If anything you can just turn up the stereo and dance along to the music! That is a great workout!

Walking is the easiest way to begin. Start by walking at a fairly brisk pace for 15 minutes. I worked my way up to an hour very quickly.
You'd be surprised on how helpful gym personnel are. You must let them know that you haven't used equipment and are not to working out. They can guide you through the equipment and make recommendations for "beginners" -they have a bunch of beginner cardio classes! You might like the social atmosphere as well! But at home, walking, riding a bike, jumping rope, running, cardio tapes...there a ton of resources; magazines and internet!
Walk an hour each day at a moderate pace.This, in conjunction with a truly healthy diet, is really all you need for optimum health. Also, the body was designed to walk. I believe that you will find daily walks to be good for your mind as well (stress reliever, etc.).
If you have weights or if you can invest in some dumbells that would be a good start. Isometric exercises can have dramatic results if you do them correctly, and you dont need any equipment to do these exercises, just your body. Dumbells would be a very good investment though. I do isometric exercise on my pectorals(just pressing my palms together) and have had good results I can literally feel them growing each day.

They best way is to start speed walking. it is really effective in burning calories and toning your leg muscles. You can do it anywhere and it is free. On cold rainy days take it to the mall. Speed walking is better than running or jogging as it is easier on your joints and you can do if for a longer period of time. I definitely agree with the people who have said walking, If you're going somewhere relatively close to where you live, leave a few minutes early and walk instead of drive. Try to make a point to walk for at least 15 minutes every day, you'll be amazed at how much better you feel! Oh, and make sure you get good walking shoes, otherwise your feet might start to hurt and you won't want to/won't be able to keep doing it.
Or get a bike, and do the same thing as I said about walking but you can go a bit faster so you can get to somewhere a bit farther away in the same ammount of time.
You also could try taking a dance or karate class, if you want something slower try tai chi. The most important thing is to find something you enjoy, because that's the only way you'll have the motivation to continue doing it.
My first step was to get an MP3 player so that I have motivating music. Then, plan a route, and go for 2 to 3 half-hour walks a week (for the first few weeks). Try to go in the morning, or at least in daylight, for safety reasons. After the first few weeks, make the walks 10 to 15 minutes longer, or add in an extra 1 or 2 walks per week. Continue to progress by adding extra minutes or extra walk.
Buy some stretchy bands or some weights and start doing weight training. Look online for exercises...www.shape.com, www.fitnessmagazine.com, www.self.com all have really good strength-training tips. Just like the majority, I would agree in saying that walking would be the way to go. Start at your own pace, and just build from there.
I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me. Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. Drink alot of water. I hate the bland flavor of water, so I get these calorie free additives from walmart, my fave is Fruit Punch, and I add those to my water. I drink about 2 bottles a day between meals. Also snacking on fruit is good too. Good luck
you can carry healthy snacks with you like some kind of protien bar, or fresh fruits or veggies and if you don't have access to those kinds of things just drink a lot of water or if you want you can have some diet soda. just dont grab anything out of a vending machine most of that stuff isn't healthy if you are on a diet. good luck!
That sounds like a dodgy old diet if you're hungry a lot. Some people can't cope with not eating regularly (I've got a friend who gets dizzy and all sorts if she doesn't eat when she's hungry). Maybe switch to a diet where you eat small portions more regularly. I knew some people who tried this diet where you ate 6 mini-meals a day and they looked great after a while, really slimmed down. Or you could try eating more and exercising more, that's what I do. I hate dieting so I just exercise about 8 hours a week or more.

I'm always finding time to exercise. It's not a matter of willpower, but a matter of life and death for me.I have no choice in what I have to do.
well it all depends if ur eating when bored and on the computer! but if ur just drinking water or something else and sitting here and typing then its a good thing ! u cant try to workout before being on the computer that way ur more tired and will feel like resting then being on the computer!
set goals for yourself and force yourself to do it - every time you spend 15 minutes/half hour on the computer - make yourself walk for 10/20 minutes etc...................i used a pedometer to track my steps for 3 weeks - i work 3 or 4 12 hour shifts a week on the same day - so on those days my steps were really high - the weekends thanks to the computer they were not so high. by the fourth week, i made myself goals. i took an average for each day then added 200 steps to the goal. By 11 each night or an hour before I'm going to sleep (on work nights) i see how close i am to my goal. if i have not met it, i have to walk til i have or until the day ends..
you need to pick a time during the day that is good for you a give your self 30 minutes to start out with and go for a walk or do some aerobics something physical and do that at the same time everyday and it will soon become a force of habit to you pick some reason why you need to get off your butt and do it its a mental game keep telling your self get up and go running for 30 minutes at this time you have to do it keep telling yourself remind yourself%26gt;
Fix a Mirror in a suitable position such that you can watch yourself while you are spending the time before your computer. Your image in the mirror will motivate you to exercise. Also spend more time browsing the sites that deals with health, fitness, exercise and like rather than sites that deals with recipes, hotels, resuarants, etc.
I get motivated by listening to music that will motivate me to workout,but I also just kick my self in the butt to go to the gym once I'm there I have fun working out and the people there at the gym is like family,just being there I get motivated.Plus when I workout it helps me to release my stress and I usually feel a lot better.And I think your fine just the way you are. But never neglect exercising it's healthy for you.
Honestly....get a treadmill. Its one of the best pieces of equipment I've ever purchased. I use mine every day for around 20-30 minutes, often at night after work, whilst watching TV or listening to the radio. You do not need to register for a gym, and you cannot use bad weather as an excuse not to exercise.. Yearly gym fees alone are probably half the cost of the treadmill anyway. When I first started, I could scarcely manage 2Km in 20 minutes. Now I can jog for at least 500m without getting tired. I could not even do that when I was a kid.. Exercising improves your mental state (makes you feel happier), and gives you more energy.

I don't eat chips and junk food like that, but my saturated fat intake is still high. What other foods are high in saturated fat?

Foods high in saturated fats are meats (esp. beef, duck, lamb, and pork), oils (like butter), dairy (2% milk, whole milk, cheese that isn't nonfat). I encourage you to look at your Nutrition Facts label on the food you eat. If you are in control of what is bought at the store, plan on spending time in the grocery store so you can analyze what you normall buy BEFORE you put it in your cart. If you don't bring the bad stuff home, you'll be much better off controlling your diet.
red meat. try eating more fruits, vegetables, and fish. chicken is also good, as long as it's not fried!

Don't eat animal or animal-based fat.
margerine, butter, red meat, cookies, cake,. Try basing your diet on vegtables and legumes. It will take a long time to get used to it but that will get rid of the saturated fat problem
Any diet needs to be balanced. Saturated fat, per se, is not a killer. You probably consume a lot of modified corn starch, MSG and other harmful ingredients in your foods every day (just look at the labels). These are significantly worse for you than minor amount of saturated fat you may get from moderate consumption of natural meat. Remember: often it is how much you eat, and not what you eat. And what you eat needs to be balanced, so you always get your vitamins, proteins and starches from preferably natural foods.
