How can i gain weight evenly?

im a 23 year old guy, ive always been quite skinny. i wanna beef up a bit but when i eat a lot it goes straight to my gut. what can i do?
Answer:
Try and eat foods that take longer to digest..well more complex, instead of simpler stuff. Protein and fiber take pretty long. Eat every 2-3 hours, and dont get hungry.
when you mean beef up..do you mean get more fat or muscle or both? Try increasing your daily calorie intake by 400-600 calories.
make sure that the amount you eat is backed up by exercise, like weight lifting ab work etc,or ill swap you for my figure and ill have your skinny one, deal or no deal?
eat little and often and work out
I think you want to build up muscle mass, not fat! Eat normally, but then hit the gym 2 or 3 days a week.
You'll start feeling healthy, and be a chick magnet with those abs...
you need to exercise your stomach, however you still don't have control over the distribution of your weight. It all depends on your body, heredity and bone structure and what body type you are.
before u take ur breakfast. take appetizer drugs and blood tonic it make u hungry and grow fat and healthy.
It's going to your gut because you're adding fat, not muscle. Unfortunately, just like you can't control where you take fat off of your body, you can't control where you put it on either. You more likely just want to try to add some muscle mass. From what it sounds like, this may not be easy with your body type. Your best bet is to get onto a weight lifting program where you are lifting 3-4 times a week. Lay off of the cardio during this time period and make sure you are taking in plenty of healthy calories. Make sure you are taking in plenty of protein via lean meats as well as protein shakes. You should try to focus on taking in about 500 calories a day over what your body needs. It is vital that you eat a balanced diet while lifting so that you can have the best chance of adding muscle mass and not fat during this weight gain period. One note: after you work out, make sure you drink a protein drink or eat a protein bar within 15 minutes of your last rep. This will feed your muscles and provide the energy that they need to grow.Good luck.
eat lots of carbs and protean and all the other food gropes u will soon pack on the pounds
if you can, take a walk mid-morning and mid-afternoon...
It seems people have answered the question, but to just touch up on certain details, taking pletiful water does help with hyrdolysis of fat (that might be depositing over your abs). Obviously if you do wanna gain weight, you have to be on a high calorie diet as well. Also, running is probably one of the best exercises that utilizes the whole body and helps in an even gain of weight throughout. Everything else remains the same to pursue a healthy lifestyle. A high calorie diet doesn't mean unhealthy fast food, it means eating the right food in high quantity to compensate for the exercise and gaining weight at the same time. hope it helps
