How can I exercise comfortably? without aching?

Answer:
Boy, I had to jump on this one as soon as I saw one of the answers. First of all dear, you do NOT have to hurt and ache to reap the benefits of exercise. Please do NOT let anyone feed you the old adage, No Pain, No Gain. Shame on the person who even implys that.
Yes, stretching is a must before every workout, and then stretch the muscles you worked afterwards also, helps in making the muscles long and lean. Prevents injuries.
Start with the stretches, then your cardio, then work on a specific area of the body..ie: arms, or abs, thighs and rear...etc., and then some yoga, and then followed by your cool down(stretches again). Good Luck....you can cover it all in 30 minutes.....your weights 2-3 times a week, always give yourself a 48 hour break between weight training sessions. Your muscles need time to repair. Oh, and Interval training is great to, that means cardio and weights, cardio for 5 minutes then weights for 2-3, then cardio, then weights etc.
before and after exercising make sure you do plenty of stretches, also wear comfortable shoes. remember to keep yourself well hydrated, but to stop the aches lots of stretching.
From Health and Fitness consultant point of view: Start with walking (preferably with a friend) on one hour per day basis (1 hour after meal). Make sure you have comfortable shoes. Persistence will be joy and fitness!Moo15700@Yahoo.com
If you don't ache after exercise the exercise you are doing is useless! So you need to chose between exercising in a meaningful way AND aching, or stop exercising uselessly AND not aching. It all depends on how important being and staying in shape is to you.
