How can I beat hunger pangs?

I'm on a diet, and sticking to it, but I get really bad hunger pangs between meals. How can I combat these without eating more?
Answer:
Hi,Drinking plenty of water can help as water is a natural appitite suppresant, try it really ice cold. Also having plenty of fibre with each meal to bulk it out! The tummy rumblings r ur bodies natural way to say that its time to eat so having a small snack when this happens will help, Although whilst dieting u dont wn to eat too many calories, it is a scientific fact if ur eat regularly ur body burns more calories so adding a few extra snacks when u r hungry as long as these are low fat and calorie, should actually help u to lose weight! The rumbles will however calm down as time goes on.Rx
fruit
drink water!
try eating small portions of high protein meals or fruits.carry protein bars or fruits along with you.
Drink a full glass of water very quickly. Don't sip it. Then wait it out 15 minutes.I also find that taking 2 tbs apple cider vinegar with a glass of water "chaser" beats the hunger feelings, and lasts longer than water alone.
Try fruit and lots of water. They have healthy snack bags like Right bites(cookies only 100 calories)works for me.Good Luck
with fruit or eat less but more often !!!!
Drink lots of water. That bloats you but really if you are dieting properly you shouldnt be getting hunger pangs.Eat some fruit if you are really hungry. You shouldnt starve your body.
Firstly check to see if you are consuming enough calories! Drink plenty of clear fluids, we are very bad at differentiating between hunger and thirst! Best of luck xx
Drink alot of water. I hate the bland flavor of water, so I get these calorie free additives from walmart, my fave is Fruit Punch, and I add those to my water. I drink about 2 bottles a day between meals. Also snacking on fruit is good too. Good luck
you can carry healthy snacks with you like some kind of protien bar, or fresh fruits or veggies and if you don't have access to those kinds of things just drink a lot of water or if you want you can have some diet soda. just dont grab anything out of a vending machine most of that stuff isn't healthy if you are on a diet. good luck!
That sounds like a dodgy old diet if you're hungry a lot. Some people can't cope with not eating regularly (I've got a friend who gets dizzy and all sorts if she doesn't eat when she's hungry). Maybe switch to a diet where you eat small portions more regularly. I knew some people who tried this diet where you ate 6 mini-meals a day and they looked great after a while, really slimmed down. Or you could try eating more and exercising more, that's what I do. I hate dieting so I just exercise about 8 hours a week or more.
Drink water
a can of fizzy drink.
drink? - hunger is often mistaken for thirst!! - or u could eat celeray - its got like negtive calories as it takes more calories to eat it than to swallow it
Drink a pint of water, then go for a long walk. an Apple has no sugar and no fat, and is i believe very low in calories. but too many can give you the runs, still that's more weight loss.
Water and fiber.
you need a light snack between both meals. Beofre lunch fruits are good, beofre dinner a couple of nuts (not too many becasue they have a lot of calories) or veggies.
no eat a enchilada
what i do is chew chewing gum, as it produces lots of saliva, plus, the flavours and chewing will make you feel like your eating something. also try hard boiled sweets, or as the rest have mentioned water. or milk. they will fill you up til you eat next!!!
Here are a few tips:1. Drink lots of water throughout the day. On top of all the other benefits of water, drinking water helps keep you full.2. Divide your meals throughout the day. Having 3 meals a day is actually somewhat of a myth. It's better to still eat 3 meals worth of food, but spread out into 5-6 meals during the day. Never go more than 3 hours without eating something or you will starve.3. Munch on vegetables. You won't gain wait by eating vegetables such as cucumbers, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower etc. Vegetables like broccoli have negative calories, which means they will help your body burn other foods better.4. Take a look at your diet. If you are on a "diet" as in something like Atkins, then it's not healthy. By diet, you should simply be eating the proper portiens of each food group. That bieng said, everybody is allowed the ocassional treat.5. Keep busy. The more bored and restless you are, the more you'll want to snack.6. How much are you exercising? If you are doing lots of exercise, it's okay to eat a little bit more of healthy foods sine you are burning so many calories. Just ensure you are burning more calories than you are eating to lose weight.I hope those help.
eat less food, but do it more often
