Hoodia Gordonii / Weight loss question?

I am currently attempting to lose a decent ammount of weight ( not anything crazy, just 10 lbs in 2 weeks or more if possible) and have been working out by boxing (hitting heavy bag) running (a mile 3 days a week), lifting weights ( 2-3 times a week) and eating properly (watching carbs along with quality and content of food).I have been doing so for a month without a whole lot of results.
I am 22, 5'9'' and weigh 195 but would like to be between 180 and 185 in 2 weeks. I'm not considering anything insane because I do consider myself healthy and would like to stay that way, but I have heard of this hoodia gordonii plant that suppresses hunger. By suppressing hunger, won't you be more tired and have less energy and nutrients, which eventually hurt you when working out?Is there anything else you can suggest in 2 weeks so I can see results?
I appreciate all any constructive help.
Answer:
First, congratulations on your hard work. Stick with it, you'll get results. Now what exactly is your goal? You said you wanted to lose 10-15 lbs., but is that really it? Does the gravitational force you exert on the earth really matter or are you trying to look better? I'm going to guess you want to look better. Then throw away your scale. If you've been working out and eating right, then you won't see much scale difference because muscle is heavier than fat. Do your clothes fit looser? Do you see results in the mirror? Those are the questions you should try to answer. Now hoodia. Yes, real hoodia works as an appetite suppressant. The problem is that food supplements, and specifically hoodia, are not regulated by the FDA. Recent studies indicated that many popular brands of supplements claiming to contain hoodia actually contained very little or none. Even those that had hoodia varied from capsule to capsule. My advice: don't waste your money. Sounds like you're on the right track. Just keep doing what you're doing.Good luck!
Fill up with vegetables. Also, an appetite suppressant that works for me is peanuts. I'm not kidding, they will take away even the most fierce hunger and keep you satisfied for quite a long time. A handful before meals helps.
Eat only when hungry and that too not more than three times a day. No solids of liquids other than water in between. Please include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fresh fruits in ur diet. Please chew each morsel of food 32 times. This activates ur body system to monitor ur food intake.Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day. These changes in ur routine will enable u to achieve ur ideal weight in a reasonable time. Please do not get panicky to get off what u have accumulated over years.
